SoCal Winter Activities Specialist
Vision for the Role: The purpose of the Winter Activities Specialist is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the leading of safe and engaging recreational activities for campers and guests. Activities may include Snow Tube Runs, Ice Skating, Indoor Climbing Wall, Escape Room, and Recreation Games. Responsible for activity & recreation setup or equipment preparation, overseeing scheduled activities, as well as clean up and repairs.

The Role:
- Show respect to campers, guests, peers, staff, and self
- Serve as a positive role model, show enthusiasm and display a positive attitude
- Convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff.
- Guide participants through the activities with good judgment
- Keep areas safe, clean, and in operational condition
- Abide by the safety, equipment and personal guidelines
- Teach activity classes and staff areas as needed, always be prepared to lead a course debriefing, including a personally meaningful Spiritual correlation to the activity and experience

- Ability to be on-site while camp programs are in session
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills needed to guide participants through the activity
- Observe participant behavior, assess its appropriateness, and enforce safety in a fitting manner
- Strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements include bending, lifting, sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, running, and possibly climbing or swimming. Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and normal range of eyesight and hearing required to communicate with staff and manipulate camp equipment. Must operate with daily exposure to the cold, heat, rain, sun, and varying other weather conditions, as well as under irregular working hours in a camp environment.
