Vision for the Role: The Winter Camp Lead Counselor plays a vital role in providing leadership and organization to groups of high school and middle school campers and their counselors. This role assists in maintaining discipline, supervising camper safety, checking in with cabins, responding to emergencies, and serving as a Christlike role model for students.

The Role:
- Lead groups of campers by maintaining camp schedules, ensuring campers are in attendance, assisting with camper discipline, obtaining feedback, and maintaining a safe and loving environment for campers and guests.
- Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
- Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Experience leadership or church ministry preferred.
- Must be a highly responsible leader who can be trusted to model integrity and Christlike values.
- Must be able to clearly articulate the gospel to campers and provide care and counsel when needed.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
- Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.
- Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, run, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.
