Vision for the Role: The Retail Coordinator assists in managing all aspects of Hume Apparel and Hume Supply Co. under the direction of the Retail Supervisor. This individual plays a key role in the training, mentoring and supervising of summer staff. The Retail Coordinator leads store shifts, helps with coordinating inventory, and looks for new ways to merchandise products.

The Role:
- Staff Oversight and Training: Assist in supervising seasonal and part-time staff. This includes leading shifts, checking in with staff, managing break schedules, assisting with scheduling, providing training, and ensuring that store procedures and company policies are followed.
- Product Development and Design: Assist retail supervisor in line development, including reviewing submitted designs, making product recommendations and analyzing popular trends. Participate in the decision-making summer and winter line curation ensuring that lines promote organizational mission, contain both fresh ideas and popular design concepts.
- Guest Experience and Store Operations: Ensure a great in-store guest experience, looking for ways to improve the shopping experience for all guests. Responsible for executing store procedures for Hume Apparel and Hume Supply Company. This includes floor and back-room stocking levels, cash register operations, cleaning procedures, and customer issue resolution.
- Inventory and Merchandising: Responsible for receiving inventory, managing back stock, and prepping products for sale. This includes entering received and counted inventory into a point-of-sale system, communicating with the retail supervisor of items that are out of stock or running low. Ensure products are displayed in ways that maximize visibility of key products and top sellers. Seek ways to merchandise products that promote brand identity, organizational mission, and sales potential.
- Cash Management: Responsible for cash management of money in the stores. This includes performing turn ins, managing safe access, and minimizing theft risk from both guests and staff. Promote an environment where financial stewardship is a key store priority for all staff.

- Ability to lead and organize a team of young adults.
- Experience in retail and/or merchandise design is helpful.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; sometimes on uneven or rugged terrain.
- Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to live at high altitude and in small living quarters.
- Limited out-of-town and/or overnight travel may be required.
