Vision for the Role: We are looking for a team of 30-60 people to be available to jump in and help run weekend (Friday-Sunday) activities for adult retreats and winter camp. The Activities Weekend Warrior helps create fun, safe, and Christ-centered experiences at Hume Lake by operating a wide variety of recreation activities. This role is seasonal part-time, and weekend only; it is a hands-on role that supports camps, retreats, and guest groups in the fall-spring seasons. Hours not guaranteed; we send out requests for weekend help as needed and a commitment to work a certain number of weekends is not required.

The Role: 

  • Facilitate activities safely and effectively 
  • Help prepare and cleanup before and after retreats 
  • Activities Include - High Adventure, Archery, Axe Throwing, Paintball, Lifeguarding, Snow Tubing, Broom Hockey, Snowboarding, Escape Room, Mechanical Bull, and more. 


Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Evidenced commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel with others. 
  • Must agree with Hume Lake’s Statement of Belief and be willing to abide by Hume Lake’s Code of Conduct. 
  • Collaboration: proven ability to work well with diverse teams in quick paced environments, 
  • Additional Skills: strong observation, listening, and communication skills. 
  • Organization: ability to maintain organization while juggling several different tasks. 
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in High Adventure or Lifeguard preferred 
  • Ability to lead and interact with youth and adults 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons 
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills 
  • Customer Service experience preferred 
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Lifeguard Certification ( or willingness to obtain) 
  • High Adventure Trained ( or willingness to obtain) 

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; maybe on uneven or rugged terrain. 
  • Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions. 
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
  • Must be able to live at high altitude and in small living quarters.

Salary:  $16.50, Hourly, Friday-Sunday, weekends only. The weekends you choose to work will be determined between you and your manager.
