Vision for the Role: The Concessions Supervisor is directly responsible for the general supervision and oversight of the following areas: Snack Shops, Coffee Shops, and overall food handling and sanitation procedures for all concession food service areas.

The Role:

• The hiring and training of all staff in the areas under supervision
• Maintain healthy staff morale and address any employee conflicts
• Ensure both quantity and quality control of food preparation
• Ensure that all buildings are kept clean and organized
• Ensure that all the equipment is working properly
• Purchasing of all goods and supplies Control inventory, minimizing overages, and ensuring proper rotation of goods
• Research and control the prices and profit margin of sold items

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Must possess at least a basic understanding of food preparation and general food handling procedures and keep up a current Food Handler’s License
• Strong organizational and personal/relational skills
• Current in general office technology and excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities in an unstructured environment
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in management with demonstrated success
• Bachelors Degree in related Food Service/Business Management field is preferred
• Customer service and sales experience preferred
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
• Commitment to the Christian faith and a desire to share the knowledge of Jesus Christ with others
• Able to agree with our Statement of Belief and abide by our Code of Conduct
• Manage and utilize camp resources with a biblical view toward stewardship
• Must be able to live in available Hume Lake housing or provide private accommodations

Physical Requirements: 

• The work at times is stressful, fast-paced, and sometimes includes lifting and/or moving 50 pounds.
